Wolfsburg came from behind three times to overcome Werder Bremen and keep Bayern’s lead at the top of the Bundesliga down to eight points.
The first half was an exciting affair, with Bremen taking the lead three times, through Zlatko Junuzovic and Franco di Santo strikes, as well as an own goal via Veirinha. Daniel Caligiuri and Maximilian Arnold goals made the score at half time 3-2.
Bas Dost grabbed a quick brace right after half time, before Caligiuri got his second to help his team to a comfortable lead. The game ended 5-3 and Wolfsburg, still second on the log, have 50 points, while Bremen remain in 9th with 30 points.
In Sunday’s other match, Borussia Monchengladbach beat Paderborn 2-0 to take a four point lead over Leverkusen in the race for third.Fabian Johnson scored the opener in the 18th minute, while Patrick Herrmann sealed the win with an 82nd minute strike. Monchengladbach remain third with 40 points and Paderborn are now 16th and in the relegation zone with 23 points.
