Felix Platte, Jerome Gondorf and Sven Schipplock were all on target as Darmstadt beat Freiburg 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Platte opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and Gondorf made it 2-0 on the stroke of half-time. Schipplock put the game beyond doubt with 25 minutes remaining.
Werder Bremen 2-0 Hertha Berlin
Fin Bartels and Max Kruse guided Werder Bremen to a 2-0 victory over Hertha Berlin on Saturday afternoon.
Bartels grabbed the lead in the ninth minute, before Kruse extended the lead six minutes later to no reply from Hertha.
Mainz 1-2 Borussia Monchengladbach
Lars Stindl and Nico Schulz handed Borussia Monchengladbach a 2-1 away victory over Mainz on Saturday afternoon.
Stindl scored for the fourth successive matches and made it 1-0 in the 31st minute, while Schulz extended the lead just a minute after the half-time break. Yoshinari Muto pulled one goal back for Mainz in the 89th minute but it was too little too late.
