Bayer Leverkusen secured their second straight Bundesliga win with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Werder Bremen at the at Weserstadion on Saturday afternoon.
Admir Mehmedi handed the visitors the lead with a deflected effort in the 31st minute, before Julian Brandt doubled the lead with a free-kick in the 58th minute.
The win was sealed in the 65th minute when Kevin Kampl opened his account for Leverkusen with a curling effort from the edge of the area.
Wolfsburg 1-1 Hannover
Wolfsburg missed the chance to slid into third spot after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Hannover 96 on Saturday afternoon.
Bas Dost handed Wolfsburg the lead in the 40th minute when he headed home Christian Trasch's cross, however Hannover secured a point thanks to Hiroshi Kiyotake's in the 58th minute.
VFB Stuttgart 1-3 Borussia Monchengladbach
Borussia Monchengladbach bagged their second league win of the season, as they defeated VFB Stuttgart 3-1 at the Mercedes Benz Arena.
Goals from Granit Xhaka and Raffael and an own goal from Christian Gentner handed Gladbach the victory, while Daniel Ginczek picked up a consolation from the penalty spot.
Augsburg 1-3 Hoffenheim
Hoffenhem secured their first win of the season with a 3-1 victory over Augsburg on Saturday afternoon.
Kevin Volland bagged a brace, after Koo Ja-Cheol had given Augsburg the lead in the first half, however the win was sealed 73rd minute via a strike from Jonathan Schmid.
Hamburger 0-1 Schalke
Schalke continued their impressive start to the season with a narrow 1-0 win over Hamburger SV at the Imtech Arena on Saturday evening.
Leroy Sane scored the only goal of the game to earn Schalke the win, which moved them up to third in the Bundesliga standings.
