Hoffenheim 1-3 Werder Bremen
Werder Bremen proved too strong for Hoffenheim, as they picked up a 3-1 win over Hoffenheim in their Bundesliga tie on Sunday afternoon.
Zlatko Junuzovic handed Bremen the lead just before the halftime break, before Hoffenheim leveled matters through Eduardo Vargas in the 49th minute.
However, Junuzovic restored Bremen lead in the 90th minute, before Anthony Ujah sealed the a few moments later from the penalty spot.
The win sees Bremen move up to fourth in the Bundesliga standings, while are in 15th and are still searching for their first win.
Schalke 2-1 Mainz 05
Schalke returned to winning ways in the Bundesliga, after they recorded a 2-1 victory over Mainz at the Veltins-Arena on Sunday evening.
Joel Matip handed Schalke the lead after 37 minutes, as turned home a cross from Johannes Geis, before the visitors leveled matters through Yunus Malli.
However, the home side secured the win in the 61st minute through Klaas Jan Huntelaar's first league goal of the season.
Schalke moved up to fifth in the Bundesliga standings, while Mainz drop to 10th position.
