Leipzig continued their fine debut in the German top flight, as they registered a 3-1 win over Mainz on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts netted all of their goals in the first half, as Timo Werner bagged a brace, while Emil Forsberg also got on the score-sheet.

The victory moves Leipzig up to second spot level on points with Bayern Munich. While, Mainz remain in 10th.

Schalke 3-1 Werder Bremen

Schalke stretched their unbeaten run in the Bundesliga to five games after they defeated Werder Bremen 3-1 on Sunday evening.

Alessandro Schopf netted a brace, while Nabil Bentaleb also scored for the home side. While, Serge Gnabry bagged a consolation for Bremen.

The win moves Schalke up to 11th position, while Bremen remain in 16th spot.
