Borussia Dortmund returned to winning ways in the Bundesliga, after recording a 3-0 win over Hamburg at Signal Iduna Park.
Gonzalo Castro opened the scoring in the 13th minute, before Shinji Kagawa doubled the hosts' lead in the 81st minute, after being teed up by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aubemeyang then registered his name on the score-sheet in stoppage time, with Kagawa picking up the assist.
Despite picking up three points, Dortmund have dropped to fourth spot, after Hoffenheim moved up to third with victory over Bayern Munich.
Werder Bremen 3-0 Schalke
Werder Bremen continued their push for a European spot, after they cruised to a 3-0 win over Schalke on Tuesday evening.
Theodor Selassie opened the scoring in the 24th minute and Max Kruse doubled the lead in the 76th minute.
Maximilian Eggestein ended the game as a contest in the 80th minute, as Bremen moved up to eighth spot, five points adrift of sixth spot.
FC Koln 1-0 Eintracht Frankfurt
Milos Jojic scored the only goal of the match as FC Koln narrowly beat Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 on Tuesday evening.
The victory sees Koln move up to fifth spot and are now in pole position to secure a Europa League ticket.
