David Alaba and Douglas Costa were among the goals for Bayern Munich, as they secured a 3-1 win over Stuttgart at the Mercedes Benz Arena.

The visitors could have opened the scoring inside the opening five minutes when Mario Gotze picked out Franck Ribery in the box, but the Frenchman failed to test Tyton from close range.

Manuel Neuer then came to Bayern's rescue in the fourth minute, as the Gemarn goalkeeper produced a fine save to keep out keep out Didavi's low strike.

Pep Guardiola's charges eventually went ahead in the 31st minute, as Stuttgart's Niedermeier turned Ribery's cross into the back of his own net.

Bayern nearly doubled their advantage five minutes before the halftime break, as Thomas Muller's curling effort was deflected wide by Niedrmeier.

It didn't take the visitors long to extend their advantage in the second half, as David Alaba collected a knock-down from Juan Bernat, before firing a low finish past Tyton.

Stuttgart reduced the deficit in the 63rd minute, as Didavi showed great composure to lob the ball over Neuer while lying on the ground in the box.

The woodwork came to the home side's rescue in the 79th minute, as Thiago Alcantara controlled well, before rattling the crossbar with a fine curling effort from distance.

However, the league leaders sealed the win in the 89th minute, as Douglas Costa cut inside, before unleashing a powerful effort past Tyton, 3-1.
