Result: Hannover 1-2 Bayern Munich
Date: 07 March 2015
A brace from Thomas Muller inspired Bayern Munich to a 3-1 win over Hannover 96 on Saturday afternoon.
Bayern were in control from the onset, and had a few efforts at goal in the opening exchanges, with David Alaba and Arjen Robben going close.
And it was Hannover who eventually broke the deadlock in the 25th minute, courtesy of a well-taken finish from Kiyotake that left Manuel Neuer with no chance.
However, Bayern leveled matters three minutes later, as Xabi Alonso curled home a sublime free-kick from 25-yards out.
Robben nearly gave Bayern the lead just before the halftime break, as his header sailed inches wide of the upright after getting on the end of Juan Bernat's cross.
Bayern were then awarded a penalty after the hour mark, after Joao Pereira was adjudged to have handled the ball and Thomas Muller stepped up and converted the spot-kick.
The win was sealed in the 72nd minute, as Muller produced a fine header, after connecting with Franck Ribery's inviting cross.
Pep Guardiola's side now turn their attention to their UEFA Champions League second leg tie against Shaktar Donetsk.
