Bayern Show Paderborn No Mercy

A red-hot Bayern Munich thrashed Paderborn 6-0 in their Bundesliga clash on Saturday.
The Bavarians took the lead in the 24th minute when an inspired lofted through-ball from Arjen Robben beat the home defence and fell for Robert Lewandowski who showcased his composure with a placed shot past the keeper.
The travelers were two goals to the good shortly thereafter as Lewandowski added his second. A deflected shot was collected by Franck Robery who cut the ball back for Lewandowski to direct home at the near post.
Paderborn's situation worsened further just past the hour mark when they were reduced to 10 men. Florian Harthez brought Robben down in the area, giving the away side a penalty and earning the Paderborn left-back a red card. Robben slotted the spot-kick with confidence.
The goals continued to flow as the second half wore on. In the 72nd minute Bayern netted their fourth as a cross was poorly dealt with by the Paderborn defence, allowing Ribery to pounce and smash home into the bottom corner.
Mitchell Weiser joined the party in the 78th minute to score his first Bundesliga goal for Die Roten. A long ball over the top from Rode bounced in the Paderborn box before Weiser lifted it over the keeper to make it 5-0.
The final strike arrived in the 86th minute as Robben completed his brace. Great work from Ribery on the wing resulted in a cross that fell perfectly for Robben to poke home at the far post.
Other results:

Augsburg goalkeeper, Mrwin Hitz, scored in stoppage time to earn his side a 2-2 draw with Champions League hopefuls, Bayer Leverkusen.

Sebastian Prodl cancelled out Max Meyer's 60th minute strike, as Werder Bremen and Schalke 04 played out to a 1-1 draw at the Veltins-Arena.

Mainz 05 defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 3-1 to hand new boss, Martin Schmidt, a winning start to his reign at the club.

Kevin Volland's 39th minute strike was enough to earn Hoffenheim a 1-1 draw at Freiburg, after Immanuel Hohn had given the home side the lead.

While, there was another draw at the RheinEnergie Stadium, as FC Koln drew 1-1 with 10-man Hannover.
