Bayern Munich bolstered their spot at the top of the Bundesliga with a 5-1 thrashing of Dortmund on Sunday.
Die Roten took the lead in the 26th minute when Thomas Muller beat the defenders with a determined run before getting to the ball just ahead of the visiting goalkeeper to slide it home.
The hosts won a penalty in the 34th minute after Mkhitaryan appeared to foul Thiago in the area. Muller stepped up and slotted the spot-kick, sending Burki the wrong way.
Two minutes later were back in the game as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted their opening goal. Castro broke away down the right wing before crossing for Aubameyang to finish.
A mere minute into the second half the hosts took control of the clash as they restored their two-goal lead. Boateng played a long ball forward for Robert Lewandowski who beat the defence and placed his shot into the back of the net.
The Pole added a second to his tally in the 58th minute as Mario Gotze made his way to the byline before cutting it back for the striker to tap on from close range.
Gotze then capped off the dominant victory with Bayern's fifth goal of the clash. He layed the ball up for Thiago before getting it back after his team-mate lost control. Gotze pounced on the loose ball and fired home from 15 yards.
