Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has chosen which club he wants to play for next season, according to reports.
If rumours are to be believed, the Polish international is desperate for a switch to Spanish giants Barcelona and is pushing for a transfer to materialise.
In a recent interview, Lewandowski candidly admitted that he wants to leave the Bavarians at the end of the season and will not sign a new contract in Germany.
Bayern, though, have shown resistance to the history-maker’s wishes as they have insisted the 33-year-old will honour his contract in the Bundesliga until its expiration date in 2023.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Lewandowski, as thing stand, only wants to join the Catalan club despite sides such as Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain having previously shown interest in his services.
Romano claims Barcelona have already presented the forward with a three-year contract offer, but that the player will now have to wait for the two clubs to communicate and decide on a way forward.
Lewandowski joined Bayern in 2014 and has since scored an incredible 344 goals in 374 appearances, winning a remarkable 19 trophies.
Several outlets in Spain believe the second-placed LaLiga side are hoping a bid in the region of €30 million (R506 million) will be enough for Bayern to consider his sale.
