Manchester United have reportedly been told to pay R1.6 billion if they want to acquire the services of a certain Bundesliga star.
Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey has been heavily linked with many top European sides in recent months, but according to The Sun, his club will not allow him to leave cheaply.
Leverkusen have reportedly slapped a £100 million (R1.6 billion) price tag on his head, with Jose Mourinho’s United being one of the clubs after his signature.
The 20-year-old has been sensational for his club since arriving from KRC Genk in January last year, terrorising defences with speed and skill.
Jonas Boldt, chief scout and assistant sporting director at Leverkusen, has suggested that the club has no intention of letting Bailey leave any time soon.
"We are not wasting any thoughts on letting him go," he told Kicker.
"Our goal is to reach Champions League with him and build on that."
The Jamaican has played 21 times for Leverkusen across all competitions so far this season, scoring 10 goals and assisting a further five strikes.
