Mathias Pogba, one of Pogba’s two older twin brothers, was on trial at KFC Uerdingen, who were promoted to Germany’s third tier at the end of last season.
However, their coach Stefan Kraemer insisted the forward was not signed because he is not in the right physical shape.
“He’s been and gone. Mathias couldn’t help the team, he is currently not in good physical shape,” he told Bild.
“Mathias has a good build for a ‘Nine’ and is tall, but he is carrying too many kilos.”
Mathias is a Guinea internaitonal but is currently without a club after picking up a serious njury during his time at Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam for whom he scored seven goals in 24 appearances in 2016/17.
He failed to earn a contract with Uerdingen, who have 2014 FIFA World Cup winner Kevin Grosskreutz in their books.
But the 27-year-old is not the only of the three Pogba brothers currently without a club, his twin Florentin also being a free agent after leaving Turkish side Genclerbirligi in June.
