Spanish giants FC Barcelona are said to be prepared to bid in the region of €100 million for one of Europe's hottest prospects, who would become the second most expensive teenager in history if the deal goes through.
According to Telefoot, the club are reportedly considering a big money move for RB Leipzig centre back Dayot Upamecano.
The Blaugrana could offer €100 million (R1.48 billion) for the 19-year-old, who has represented France at every youth level but is yet to make his senior international debut.
Despite being born in France, Upamecano still qualifies to play for Guinea-Bissau given his African heritage, but is likely to choose to play for Les Bleus if called upon.
The young defender, who is already a regular starter, has been impressive since his move to Leipzig in January last year, and could become the second most expensive teenager in history, behind Kylian Mbappe.
It is said that the Catalan giants see Upamecano as a possible replacement for Gerard Pique, while defender Samuel Umtiti has also been linked with a move from away from the Camp Nou.
Upamecano has played 48 times for Leipzig's senior side so far, scoring once.
