It has been claimed that Liverpool have agreed personal terms with a Spain international who has not yet played in the Premier League. Manager Jurgen Klopp has since reacted to the reports.
The Reds have been strongly linked with Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara in recent days, with club chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitting the player wants out.
The former FC Barcelona player has reportedly told the club he will not be extending his deal in the Bundesliga, although Rummenigge did not say where the player could go next.
According to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, however, not only is Thiago interested in joining Liverpool, but he has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions.
When pressed to discuss Liverpool's reported interest in the player, Klopp refused to give anything away.
"Would you be surprised if I don't give an answer on that?" he asked in reply, according to talkSPORT.
"Thiago Alcantara is a really good player. I like a lot of other players out there, but that's all I have to say about that."
