Ruthless Leverkusen Hit Bremen For Six

Nurnberg 1-1 Eintracht Frankfurt

Nurnberg moved closer to the relegation zone after playing to a 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt at the Max-Morlock-Stadion.

Adam Zrelak opened the scoring for Nurnberg in the 78th minute, but a 92nd minute goal from Sebastien Haller saw the visiting side level matters.

The result leaves Nurnberg in 14th place on the table, only two places and three points outside of the relegation zone while Frankfurt stayed in seventh place.

RB Leipzig 0-0 Schalke

RB Leipzig maintained their fifth place on the table with a 0-0 draw at the Red Bull Arena against Schalke.

Schalke, on the other hand, are at the wrong end of the table in 15th place, only one place and one point above the relegation zone.

Werder Bremen 2-6 Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen shocked all with a 6-2 thumping of Werder Bremen away from home at the Weserstadion.

It was a scintillating first half from Leverkusen who scored three goals courtesy of strikes from Kevin Volland, Julian Brandt and Karim Bellarabi.

Bremen mounted a bit of a comeback in the second half and pulled two goals back through Claudio Pizarro and Yuya Osako, but that joy was short-lived.

Leverkusen found their form from the first half with Kai Havertz and Aleksandar Dragovic restoring their three-goal lead before an own goal by Bremen’s Sebastian Langkamp was the icing on the cake as the match ended 6-2.

The result sees Bremen drop to fourth on the table while Leverkusen moved up to 12th place with only their third win in the league.
