Second half goals were the order of the day in the German Bundesliga on Sunday as Bayer Leverkusen beat Mainz and Wolfsburg beat Hannover.
Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 Mainz
Two second half goals saw Bayer Leverkusen register their ninth league win of the season as they beat Mainz 2-0 at the BayArena.
A goal three minutes into the second half from Leon Bailey gave Leverkusen the lead while a penalty goal from Wendell guaranteed them victory.
The win sees Leverkusen remain in second place on the table with 34 points, 16 points adrift of leaders Bayern Munich while Mainz hover just above the relegation zone in 15th place.
Hannover 0-1 Wolfsburg
A 72nd minute goal from Yunus Malli handed Wolfsburg a slender 1-0 win over Hannover at the HDI-Arena.
The win provides some relief for Wolfsburg who moved away from the relegation zone and into 13th place on the table while Hannover dropped to tenth place
