Result: Wolfsburg 1-2 Bayern Munich
Date: 17 February 2018
Venue: Volkswagen Arena
Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich came back from a goal down, to secure a 2-1 win over Wolfsburg on Saturday afternoon.
The defending champions were left stunned after eight minutes, as Yunus Malli did well to pick out Daniel Didavi, who sent a towering header past Sven Ulreich, 1-0.
Despite going behind, Bayern dominated possession for most of the first half, although they struggled in the final third and were restricted to efforts from distance.
The Bavarians had to wait until the 43rd minute for their first opening, when Franck Ribery skipped past a couple challenges before rattling the woodwork.
That proved to be the final chance of the half as Bayern went into the break trailing.
10 minutes into the second half, Bayern were awarded a penalty when Christian Tolisso was brought down. Arjen Robben stepped up, but saw his spot-kick saved by Koen Casteels.
Robben made up for his for miss as he teed up Sandro Wagner, to slot home the equaliser for Bayern in the 64th minute.
Robert Lewandowski was eventually introduced with 10 minutes remaining, replacing Wagner as Bayern pushed for a winner.
However, Bayern were awarded a penalty in the first minute of stoppage time. Lewandowski stepped up and made no mistake from the spot to seal a 2-1 win for the visitors.
