Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller both bagged braces as Bayern Munich came from behind to register a 4-2 win over Werder Bremen.
Bremen went agonsingly close to breaking the deadlock in the seventh minute when Max Kruse rattled the woodwork with a header.
Bayern dominated for most of the stanza, but they were unable to carve out clear-cut chances.
The visitors took a surprising lead on 25 minutes Kruse collected a pass from Gondorf before slotting the ball through Sven Ulreich's legs, 0-1.
Bayern continued to dominate and they eventually levelled matters on 41 minutes when Jerome Boateng picked out Muller, who controlled well before slamming home, 1-1.
After a quiet start to the half, Bayern took the lead on 63 minutes as Lewandowski connected with James Rodriguez's cross and sent a fine header into the corner of the net, 2-1.
With 15 minutes remaining, Bremen were gifted an equaliser when Niklas Süle deflected the ball into his own net.
Bremen's joy was short-lived as Bayern restored their lead int he 76th minute with Lewandowski netting his second goal of the game.
Mulller rounded off the scoring after 84 minutes as the German forward turned home a cross from Rodriguez to seal a good win for Bayern.
