Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich had a day to forget as they were thumped 4-1 by Stuttgart on the final day of the season.
The Bavarians were looking to give Jupp Heynckes the perfect send-off as his interim reign came to an end with the conclusion of the German top-flight campaign.
Heynckes named a strong starting line up, which included regulars such Robert Lewandowski, Franck Ribery, Thiago and Thomas Muller.
It was Stuttgart who got off a to flying start, though, with Daniel Ginczek firing past Sven Ulreich after just five minutes, 0-1,
Bayern eventually leveled matters on 21 minutes as Lewandowski turned provider to set up Christian Tolisso for a simple finish.
However, Stuttgart restored their lead just before the half-time break as Anastasios Donis drilled the ball beyond Ulreich after some sloppy play by Bayern.
The visitors' third goal arrived shortly after the break courtesy of a fine header from Chadrac Akolo from 10 yards out.
The home side rounded off the scoring as early as the 55th minute as Ginczek completed his brace with another simple finish.
Heynckes threw on the likes of Sandro Wagner and Sebastian Rudy for the final 20 minutes of the half in a bid to rescue the game.
However, the champions failed to carve out chances in the remaining stages of the second half as Stuttgart claimed an emphatic win on the day.
