Bayern Munich extended their winless run to four games in the Bundesliga after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach on home soil.
The visitors got off to superb start as Alassane Pléa opened the scoring against the run of play after 10 minutes.
Six minutes later, Gladbach found themselves 2-0 up thanks Lars Stindl low finish past Manuel Neuer from close range.
The Bavarians looked for a way back into the clash but had to wait until the 35th minute as Robert Lewandowski forced Yan Sommer into a superb save.
Niko Kovac's men dominated the possession for the rest of the half, but they were unable to pull a goal back before the break.
The Bayern coach opted for a double change at the start of the half as Serge Gnabry and Frank Ribery replaced Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller.
The hosts went close to reducing the deficit after 64 minutes, as Ribery was denied by Sommer before James Rodriguez's acrobatic effort sailed wide of the mark.
The Bundesliga champions looked out of ideas going forward, despite enjoying a large amount of the possession in the second half, much to the frustration of the supporters.
However, Bayern were put out of their misery in the 88th minute as Christoph Kramer collected a cross from the right before burying the ball past Neuer to seal a big win.
