According to German publication Kicker, newly-promoted EPL outfit Sheffield United have reportedly expressed interest in securing the services of the 36-year-old, in a bid to strengthen their squad for the top flight.

Ribery played his last ever game for the Bavarian giants in a 5-1 thumping of Eintracht Frankfurt on the final day of the 2018/19 campaign.

The former Marseille star came off the bench and marked his swansong with his 124th strike in a Bayern jersey.

It is believed that the former France international has also been the subject of interest from clubs in Australia and Qatar, but both destinations are reportedly said to be not viable for Ribery, with the winger reportedly keen on still playing his trade in one of Europe's top five leagues.

While speculation continuing to surround Ribery's future, a well-known German journalist revealed that The Blades have denied reports claiming that they are interested in signing the Frenchman.

Since completing a then club-record fee of €25 million to Bayern in 2007, Ribery has amassed 425 appearances, scoring 124 goals and registering 182 assists.
