After finding the net yet again in Germany this past weekend, an FC Barcelona loanee has now equalled a Bundesliga goalscoring record.
Spanish striker Paco Alcacer has been on fire during his loan spell in the German top flight this season, having already scored 10 league goals.
This past weekend, in a domestic match against Freiburg, the 25-year-old came off the bench to find the net once again for BVB, a goal that saw him equal an impressive record.
Alcacer has now struck nine times as a substitute in this campaign for his side, which sees him equal the single-season league record held by Ioan Viorel Ganea (2002/03) and Nils Petersen (2016/17), according to the Bundesliga's official website.
Remarkably, the striker is yet to play a single full match for Dortmund in the league, while he has completed 90 minutes twice in the UEFA Champions League.
Alcacer, who will join the club permanently once his loan deal is completed at the end of the campaign, has scored 11 goals in as many matches across all competitions for Dortmund so far this season.
