Stuttgart 2-2 Hertha Berlin

Stuttgart squandered a two-goal lead to draw with Hertha Berlin in a four-goal thriller at Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Omar Marmoush and Philipp Forster gave Stuttgart a two-goal in the first 19 minutes and Ishak Belfodil had a goal for Hertha disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for offside.

However, Stevan Jovetic pulled a goal back for the visitors just before the half-time break and snatched the equaliser 14 minutes before time and completed his brace.

Stuttgart moved up to 15th spot on the log with 14 points, just a point above the relegation play-off spot while Hertha remained a place and a point above Stuttgart.

Stuttgart will resume their league schedule away to Wolfsburg next Saturday in the evening while Hertha will play hosts to Arminia Bielefeld.
