FC Köln came from behind to get their first victory of the season after stunning Freiburg 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Schwarzwald-Stadion.
The hosts found the breakthrough five minutes before the break thanks to an own goal by Rafael Czichos, but Anthony Modeste equalised for Koln seven minutes after the break.
Ellyes Skhiri secured a late winner for the visitors in stoppage time to seal all the three points, as they tasted their first victory and points of the season.
Schalke 3-0 Hertha Berlin
Schalke won their first game of the season after thumping Hertha Berlin 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at Veltins-Arena.
Schalke broke the deadlock seven before half-time following an own goal by Niklas Stark and before the lead was doubled through another goal, this time from Karim Rekik. Jonjoe Kenny sealed the three points for the hosts in the last five minutes.
Wolfsburg 1-1 Paderborn
Wolfsburg’s perfect record to the start of the season was blemished after they were held to a 1-1 stalemate by newly promoted outfit Paderborn on Saturday afternoon at Volkswagen Arena.
Cauly Oliveira opened the scoring the newly promoted side in the 12th minute and Josip Brekalo found the equaliser for Wolfsburg 11 minutes after the break but neither side could not find the winner and they shared the spoils in the end.
