Borussia Monchengladbach reclaimed top spot in the Bundesliga following a 4-2 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt at Borussia-Park on Sunday.
Marcus Thuram granted the home side a dream start on 28 minutes with Oscar Wendt forcing a two-goal cushion at the break.
Danny da Costa got Frankfurt back in it on 59 minutes, but Nico Elvedi quickly rekindled their advantage in the final 15 minutes despite the best efforts of Martin Hinteregger five minutes later.
Frankfurt’s resistance blew up when Denis Zakaria finished off an assist from Lars Stindl five minutes to the end, leaving the visitors in mid-table.
