On the final day of the German Bundesliga season, both Hoffenheim and Borussia Dortmund secured a UEFA Champions League spot while Hamburg suffered relegation.

Hoffenheim 3-1 Borussia Dortmund

Hoffenheim ended the season on a high and in third place on the table (on goal difference) after beating Dortmund 3-1 at the Wirsol Rhein-Neckar Arena.

Andrej Kramaric opened the scoring for Hoffenheim in the 26th minute before Marco Reus leveled matters for Dortmund in the 58th minute.

Goals from Adam Szalai and Pavel Kaderabek, however, handed Hoffenheim the win.

Despite the loss Dortmund still finished in fourth place on the table ahead of Bayer Leverkusen on goal difference after they finished on the same number of points.

Bayer Leverkusen 3-2 Hannover

Despite beating Hannover 3-2 in their last league game of the season, it was not enough to see Bayer Leverkusen earn a UEFA Champions League spot.

A brace from Lucas Alario and a goal from Julian Brandt handed Leverkusen the win at the BayArena, which sees them end the season in fifth place while Hannover finished in 13th place.

Schalke 1-0 Eintracht Frankfurt

A first-half goal from Guido Burgstaller handed Schalke a 1-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the Veltins Arena.

The result sees Schalke finish the league season in second place, a staggering 21 points below champions Bayern Munich and eight points above third-placed Hoffenheim.

Frankfurt finished the season in eighth place.

Hertha Berlin 2-6 RB Leizpig

An emphatic 6-2 win for RB Leipzig over Hertha Berlin at the Olympiastadion saw them finish sixth on the table and earn a qualification spot for the UEFA Europa League.

Leipzig were in imperious form in front of goal, with both Ademola Lookman and Jean-Kevin Augustin grabbing braces. The other goals for Leipzig were scored by Dayot Upamecano and Bruma.

The loss sees Hertha Berlin finish in 10th place on the table.

Hamburger 2-1 Borussia Monchengladbach

Goals from Aaron Hunt and Lewis Holtby handed 10-man Hamburger a 2-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach at the Volksparkstadion.

The result was in vain for Hamburger, though, as they finished 17th on the league table and are axed from the Bundesliga, while Borussia Monchengladbach finished in ninth place.

Wolfsburg 4-1 Koln

Despite an impressive 4-1 win over Koln in their last league game of the season, Wolfsburg find themselves relegated from the Bundesliga.

Die Wölfe needed Freiburg to lose in their final match, but that was not the case as the latter beat Augsburg 2-0.

Koln finished the season at the bottom of the Bundesliga while Wolfsburg finished in 16th (the final relegation spot)

Other Bundesliga Matches

The champions, Bayern Munich, ended the season on a low note after suffering a 4-1 loss to Stuttgart while Werder Bremen beat Mainz 2-1.
