Bremen Edge 10-Man Augsburg In Thriller
Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 Fortuna Düsseldorf
Eintracht Frankfurt won their second game of the season after edging Fortuna Düsseldorf 2-1 on Sunday evening at Commerzbank-Arena.
Rouwen Hennings broke the deadlock for Fortuna nine minutes before the break but Bas Dost levelled matters for Eintracht three minutes before the hour-mark.
However, Goncalo Paciencia snatched the winner for Eintracht with four minutes remaining.
The hosts moved up to seventh on the table with six points, while Fortuna were left in 12th place with three points, both after three rounds of action.
Werder Bremen 3-2 Augsburg
Werder Bremen secured their first win of the campaign after edging ten-man Augsburg 3-2 at Wohninvest Weserstadion.
Yuya Osaka opened the scoring for Werder in the sixth minute before Ruben Vargas levelled matters for the visitors six minutes later.
Joshua Sargent restored the lead for the hosts in the 21st minute but Augsburg were dealt a blow 11 minutes before the break as they were reduced to ten men after Stephan Lichsteiner.
Vargas equalised for the second time for the visitors a minute after the break although .Osako snatched the the third goal for Werder 23 minutes before time.
The hosts moved up to 13th on the table with three points, while Augsburg were left languishing third from bottom with only a point to their name, both after three rounds of matches.
