Teams: Borussia Dortmund v Bayer Leverkusen
Date: 24 February 2019
Venue: Signal-Iduna Park
Time: 19h00
Dortmund are facing a season defining period after leading the Bundesliga table by a large margin for the majority of the campaign up to this far.
However, after going on a three- match winless run in the league, they find themselves leading the standings by the margin of a better goal difference as Bayern Munich have moved level on points with victory over Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
Lacien Favre’s charges will have a chance to go three points clear as they have a match in hand.
Favre will have to do without Marco Reus, Lukasz Piszczek and Christian Pulisic who have all been ruled out of match due to injuries.
Meanwhile, Leverkusen are hitting top form at just the right time as they have won their last four matches in the league, the last of which was a 2-0 victory over Fortuna Dusseldorf
Peter Bosz’s troops are challenging for the Champions League places as they are currently in sixth place with 36 points from 22 rounds of matches
When the sides met earlier in the season, Dortmund ran out 4-2 winners at the BayArena back in September last year.
Here's how they line up:
Borussia Dortmund: Bürki; Hakimi, Akanji, Diallo, Zagadou; Witsel, Weigl; Sancho, Götze, Guerreiro; Paco Alcácer.
Bayer Leverkusen: Hradecky; Jedvaj, Tah, S.Bender, Weiser; Aránguiz, Baumgartlinger; Bailey, Havertz, Brandt; Volland.
