Date: 03 November 2018
Venue: Allianz Arena
Bayern Munich's charge towards top spot in the Bundesliga took a knock after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Freiburg, who netted a late equaliser at the Allianz Arena.
The Bavarians dominated the encounter in the early stages, but they were unable to carve out any clear cut chances and were restricted to efforts from distance.
After a quiet spell in the half, Lewandowski went close to putting Bayern ahead after 25 minutes but Alexander Schwolow produced a superb save to deny the Polish striker from close range.
Schwolow came to Freiburg's rescue once again in the 35th minute with an impressive to keep out Arjen Robben's acrobatic effort in the box.
That proved to be the final attempt at goal in the half from both sides as they went into the halftime break level pegging.
The second half continued in the same fashion as the first, with Bayern dominating possession, although clear-cut chances were hard to come by in the opening 15 minutes.
As a result, Bayern coach opted for a change after the hour mark as Fracnk Ribery replaced Robben, who was struggling to make an impact.
The hosts eventually broke the deadlock in the 80th minute as Serge Gnabry is picked out by Rafinha, before he impressively sends the ball into the bottom corner from 12-yards out.
However, the visitors managed to secure a point in the 89th minute, with Lucas Holer turned home Christian Gunter's superb cross from the flank.
