Bundesliga football has been upsent from SA television for a few years, but Mzansi’s football lovers will now be able to watch Germany’s top flight on their TVs again.
Bundesliga International, a subsidiary of the Deutsche Fussball Liga, announced the new two-year broadcasting rights deal with SABC on Tuesday.
SABC 3 will show one Free-to-Air game as well as one preview and one highlights show per week for the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons.
"There has been an enormous amount of effort that has gone into making this deal happen and we are very happy to partner with the DFL in bringing football from one of the world’s best leagues to viewers right across the country,” said SABC Sport General Manager, Gary Rathbone in a press statement.

The new campaign will start on 18 September, with a clash between record champions Bayern Munich and Schalke 04.
