Official: Leverkusen Clinch Final UCL Spot

Bayer Leverkusen secured fourth spot with a 5-1 thrashing of Hertha at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Saturday afternoon.
 
A hat-trick from Lucas Alario was complemented by Kai Havertz who netted on 28 minutes with Julian Brandt adding to the fray on 54 minutes.
 
Valentino Lazaro prodded up the consolation for the home side, who finish the season in 11th.
 
Fortuna Dusseldorf 2-1 Hannover 96
 
Fortuna shrugged off a goalless first half to see off relegated Hannover 2-1 at the Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf.
 
Rouwen Hennings put the home side in front on 56 minutes before Kenan Karaman added a second four minutes later.
 
Nicolai Muller grabbed the consolation for the visitors after 78 minutes, as Fortuna end the campaign in 10th spot.
 
SC Freiburg 5-1 FC Nurnberg
 
Frieburg ran riot against relegated Nurnberg with a 5-1 beating at the Dreisamstadion in Freiburg.
 
Efforts from Marco Terrazzino and Luca Waldschmidt put the hosts two goals up in the first half, before a double by Nils Petersen and a solitary strike from Vincenzo Grifo ensured the emphatic triumph.
 
Eduard Louwen struck what proved to be a consolation on 69 minutes to see out their top-flight campaign, while Freiburg finish 13th.
 
Mainz 4-2 Hoffenheim
 
Mainz followed up their win over Eintracht Frankfurt with a 4-2 victory over Hoffenheim at the Coface Arena to finish in 12th place.
 
Hoffenheim were two goals ahead at halftime through Ishalk Befodil and Andre Kramaric, but went a man down after Christoph Baumgartner’s 41st minute dismissal.
 
Mainz sparked the come back with a 66th minute penalty from Daniel Brosincki, before a brace from Jean-Paul Boetius and late strike from Jean Phillipe Mateta completed the comeback.
 
Werder Bremen 2-1 RB Leipzig
 
Werder Bremen narrowly missed out a European slot, despite seeing off RB Leipzig 2-1 at the Weserstadion in Bremen.
 
A 35th minute penalty from Milot Rashica put the hosts ahead at the break, while Claudio Pizarro grabbed the winner two minutes from time after Nordi Mukiele restored parity two minutes earlier.
 
Bremen’s campaign end in eighth place, while Leipzig finished third and qualify for the Champions League group stages.
 
Schalke 0-0 Stuttgart
 
Schalke’s campaign ended off with a disappointing goalless draw at home to a struggling Stuttgart. 
 
Schalke end their campaign far from danger in 14th place, while Stuttgart head to a promotion/relegation playoffs after ending in 16th spot.
 
Wolfsburg 8-1 Augsburg
 
Wolfsburg put Augsburg to the sword in emphatic fashion with an 8-1 annihilation at the Volkswagen Arena to book a Europa League qualifying spot.
 
A brace from Wout Weghorst and Robin Knoche gave the hosts a three-goal lead in the first half.
 
Weghorst completed his hat-trick on 55 minutes before Daniel Ginczek, Elvis Rexhbecaj,  Josip Brekalo, an own goal Kevin Danso rounded off the scoring for the home side, as Julian Schieber grabbed the consolation for Augsburg.
