Poland's all-time leading goalscorer Robert Lewandowski has made 28 appearances across all competitions for Bayern so far this season, finding the back of the net on 24 occasions while being on hand to assist a further nine strikes.
Despite Lewandowski currently occupying third spot on the Bundesliga top goalscorers chart with 12 strikes in 19 games, Hamann has been critical of the 30-year-old's efficiency in front of goal in 2018/19, brandishing him as "being individualistic, sluggish and overly theatrical" on the pitch, according to AS.
Following the Bavarian giants' hard-fought 3-2 victory over Hertha Berlin in the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday, the Poland talisman hit back at Hamann.
"I am always focused on my job, and cup games are always difficult to play," Lewandowski told AS.
"We won that match, and I am not interested in what someone says about me, even more so if that's just flat-out stupid. I don't think (Hamann] knows much about tactics."
Since making his top-flight debut in Germany for Borussia Dortmund in 2010, Lewandowski has netted a total of 192 goals and assisted 43 further strikes in 276 Bundesliga appearances.
