Bayern Munich Legend Slams 'Disappointing' Thiago Alcantara
Former FC Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara has been slammed by a Bayern Munich legend, who feels the club should consider selling the player.
The Spain international was recently linked with a move away from the Bavarians, and a former Bayern player, Lothar Matthaus, seems to be believe the club will not miss him if he does leave.
The Germany icon believes the 27-year-old has been underwhelming in recent times, and that the Bundesliga champions should think about letting him go.
"Thiago hasn't made the difference in the big games," Matthaus told Sport Bild.
"I actually think he's good but he's been a shadow of his former self recently.
"Thiago has disappointed me in the past few weeks. I don't know where his head is. With these performances, he's not a player for Bayern Munich.
"If a suitable offer is on the table, then Bayern should think about it."
Thiago played 32 games for the German giants in 2017/18, scoring seven goals and assisting a further four strikes.
