Bayern Confirm Interest In Man City Star
Bayern Munich club president Uli Hoeness has confirmed the club's interest in a Manchester City star as they look to replace outgoing Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
After Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi's recent injury, Bayern have reportedly made Leroy Sane their number one target as the Bavarians look to freshen up the squad.
Robben and Ribery will both be leaving next month, and Hoeness confirmed the interest to German outlet Suddeutsche Zeitung.
"We are dealing with this player,” Hoeness told the newspaper.
Sane has often found himself on the bench for City this season, with Pep Guardiola preferring Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva.
Earlier this week, Bayern star striker Robert Lewandowski claimed Sane is the type of player who could improve Bayern.
"That’s a super player with great qualities and great potential,’ Lewandowski was quoted as saying by Metro.
"I’ve already seen many times how good he is. That’s a player who can immediately take us higher, who improves the team.”
