Spurs Sink Bayern To Clinch Audi Cup
Bayern Munich 2-2 Tottenham (Tottenham won 6-5 on penalties)
Tottenham Hotspur won the Audi Cup after beating Bayern Munich 6-5 on penalties after normal time ended 2-2 at Allianz Arena on Wednesday.
Erik Lamela (19') and Christian Eriksen (59') scored for Spurs, while Jann-Fiete Arp (61') and Alphonso Davies (81') netted for the Bavarians to take the match to a penalty shootout.
It was the North London outfit who held their nerve, with Spurs goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga making the crucial save in sudden death.
Real Madrid 5-3 Fenerbahce
Real Madrid claimed third place in the Audi Cup with a 5-3 victory over Fenerbahce at Allianz Arena on Wednesday.
Zinedine Zidane went with another strong line up that included the likes of Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema, Isco, Vinicius Junior and Toni Kroos.
Benzema grabbed the headlines by netting a hat-tick, while Nacho (62') and Mariano (79') scored for Los Blancos. Garry Rodrigues, Nabil Dirar and Ozan Tufan scored for the Turkish giants.
