After the DFB Pokal final, the defender once again told media he is looking at possibly moving abroad as he does not have many more years of football ahead of him, according to The Sun.
Spanish star Thiago Alcantara has been heavily linked with a return to his former club FC Barcelona in recent weeks. Sport has suggested that the midfielder is keen to return to LaLiga as he feels he has achieved everything he can in Germany.
Poland international Robert Lewandowski is heavily tipped to join LaLiga giants Real Madrid in this window. The striker is looking for a new adventure and has even hired a new agent to try to make the deal happen. According to Bild, though, Bayern are unwilling to part ways with the Polish star and will do everything in their power to keep him.
Others who have also been linked with exits from the German giants, according to various reports, are David Alaba, Sebastian Rudy, Fabian Benko, Rafinha and Arturo Vidal.
