French publication France Football has revealed the final five nominees for the 2018 Ballon d’Or award, and another African star has been nominated.

France Football started to unveil the 30-man shortlist this morning, and have continued the announcements throughout the day.
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have shared the award, which was handed out in conjunction with FIFA between 2010 and 2015, over the last 10 years, with each of them winning it five times.
However, Luka Modric has already beaten the superstar duo to the UEFA Player of the Year and FIFA’s The Best Men’s Player accolades, making him the favourite to also lift the Ballon d’Or.
