Final 3 Nominees For The Best FIFA Men's Coach Revealed

FIFA have officially announced the final three candidates for the 2017 Best FIFA Men's Coach award, but snubbed Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho despite his three trophies in 2016/17.

Following votes from national team coaches, national captains, a select group of journalists and fans online with each category counting for 25% of the votes, FIFA cut their original 12-man shortlist down to three.

Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane, Chelsea's Antonio Conte and Juventus’ Massimiliano Allegri got revealed as the final three candidates for the Best FIFA Men's Coach of the Year, which was previously known as the FIFA World Coach of the Year award.

The Los Blancos boss, who is shortlisted for the second successive year, is seen as the outright favourite to lift the prestigious award after becoming the first manager to defend the UEFA Champions League title, winning La Liga, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2016/17.

Conte’s nomination comes as no surprise as he guided the Blues to the Premier League title and the FA Cup win in his first season at Stamford Bridge.

The third nominee, Allegri, guided the Old Lady to the 2016/17 Champions League final and won the Serie A and Coppa Italia with the Turin side last season.

Jose Mourinho somewhat surprisingly didn't make the list despite winning the UEFA Europa League, English League Cup and FA Community Shield. In addition Carlo Ancelotti and Leonardo Jardim, who both guided their teams to domestic league titles, were also snubbed for the award alongside Joachim Low, who won the FIFA Confederations Cup with a young Germany team.
