Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has launched a scathing attack on Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke in a social media rant.
On Wednesday, the BVB chief seemingly criticised the Gabon star's decision to leave UEFA Champions League participants Dortmund for UEFA Europa League-playing Arsenal, suggesting that made the move for money and not footballing reasons.
"Aubameyang, who plays great at Arsenal, will probably be warm-hearted when he looks at his bank account, but on Wednesdays, will be saddened when he has to watch the Champions League on television," Watzke said, as reported by Suddeutsche Zeitung.
"Some go to clubs because of this money, where they have not played Champions League for years."
Aubameyang has now hit back at the 60-year-old, with a scathing tweet he posted on Thursday afternoon.
The Gabon international has been in scintillating form for the Gunners since arriving at the club in 2018, and shared the Premier League Golden Boot award with Liverpool's Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah last season.
