Salah Achieves Milestone In Record Style

Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah achieved another remarkable milestone for Liverpool on Wednesday night, when he delivered a stellar UEFA Champions League performance against KRC Genk.

Salah was in top form for the Reds once again as they cruised to a 4-1 win over their Belgian opponents, with the former AS Roma star setting up Sadio Mane for his goal before netting one of his own.

In doing so, the 27-year-old became Liverpool's joint-25th highest goalscorer, alongside David Johnson, of all time with 78 goals to his name in what was only his 117th appearance for the club.

According to Liverpool historian Carl Clemente, Salah has played fewer games than all of those who sit above him in the club's goalscoring chart.

In addition, the Egypt talisman boasts a better goals-per-game ratio than all of the 24 footballers ahead of him.

Since Liverpool Football Club was founded in 1892, a total of 453 different players have scored for the Reds, making Salah's record – in just his third season at Anfield – all the more remarkable.

He is now just three goals away from breaking into the top 20 – 20th spot is currently occupied by Fernando Torres – although he remains some way behind Ian Rush, who is Liverpool's all-time leading goalscorer with 346 strikes.
