South Africa's 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying opponents Zimbabwe have appointed a former DStv Premiership coach as their new manager.
It has been confirmed that Norman Mapeza is the Warriors' new first-team boss on an interim basis following the sacking of Zdravko Logarusic last week, per Soccer24.
Logarusic was fired after Zimbabwe's poor start to their World Cup qualifying campaign, which began with a 0-0 draw with South Africa and then a shock loss to Ethiopia.
Mapeza worked in South Africa during a 20-game stint in charge of Chippa United, while he also enjoyed a decade-long spell in Europe, representing clubs such as Galatasaray in Turkey and SV Ried in Austria.
