Zimbabwe were among the 28 lowest-ranked teams in the latest Fifa rankings, and will have to play a preliminary two-legged qualifier against Somalia to book their ticket to the group stage of African World Cup qualification.

Interim coach Joey Antipas has now announced his squad for the upcoming double-header, and left out several foreign-based players, including captain Knowledge Musona, who said to be recovering after undergoing hernia surgery, as reported by New Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, new Aston Villa signing Marvelous Nakamba was given more time to settle in at his new club after joining the Premier League side in this transfer window.
