Senegal are now the highest-ranked CAF nation after winning their past three games and securing qualification for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Lions of Teranga, who sit in 23rd spot overall, replaced Tunisia as Africa's highest-ranked team after the Eagles of Carthage dropped four places to 26th overall.
Herve Renard's Morocco, who have also booked their ticket to AFCON 2019, climbed seven spots to 40th overall and are Africa’s third highest-ranked team.
Bafana's latest opponents Nigeria remained unmoved in 44th position, while Congo DR – in 49th place – complete Africa's top five in the FIFA rankings.
Ghana overtook Cameroon and now sit in 51st spot, four ahead of the Indomitable Lions, who are followed by Egypt in 56th position.
Burkina Faso fell four positions and are now 61st overall and ninth on the continent, before Mali, who climbed above Ivory Coast to 64th overall, complete Africa's top 10.
Stuart Baxter's Bafana, meanwhile, climbed one spot in the overall ranking and now sit in joint-72nd position alongside Cape Verde Islands, but remained unmoved on the continent in 15th place among the CAF nations.
