Florentin Pogba, who is one Paul's older twin brothers who are both also professional footballers, joined Major League Soccer side Atlanta United in February 2019, and won the 2019 Campeones Cup as well as the US Open Cup.
However, the Guinea international was released by the club despite his successful spell due to uncertainty around his contract, and became a free agent in November last year.
Ligue 2 side FC Sochaux, though, have now announced their signing of the 29-year-old.
"Florentin Pogba will sign for three seasons with the FCSM," a statement on the club's official website read.
"The 29-year-old central defender and Guinean international will sign up next week after having passed the usual medical examination."
Sochaux will become Florentin's fifth professional club, with his most impressive spell coming in a stint at Saint-Etienne, with whom he made 66 Ligue 1 appearances.
The defender, whose younger brother Paul won the 2018 FIFA World Cup with France, has also represented Guinea 18 times.
