New Egypt Coach Sends Clear Message To Players

Newly appointed Egypt coach Carlos Queiroz had a message for the players after he was officially unveiled on Thursday.

Queiroz takes over from Hossam El-Badry, who was sacked after the Pharaohs' 1-1 draw with Gabon in their second 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The former Bafana Bafana coach's first task will be next month's back-to-back World Cup qualifiers against Libya, and he is looking forward to working with the players.

"The coaching staff is exceptional. I spoke with them and I'm very optimistic about the next stage. Allow me to consider myself Egyptian as I will give all my experience to Egypt to reach the World Cup," Queiroz told reporters, as per KingFut.

"Egypt is a big name in the world of football, qualifying to the World Cup three times, and seven Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

"This isn't the time to talk, but it is a time to take action action. We have ahead of us one dream that we will work on achieving. And all Egyptians must who must be united in order for us to achieve our goals.

"I have a message for the players. My whole life will be for you and the national team. My goal is to make you better and better, and to be the best team in order to improve on the pitch, and to achieve the dreams of the Egyptians. I know that Egyptian players love to win."
