Bafana Bafana's Group D opponents, Ivory Coast, got their Africa Cup of Nations preparations underway with a comfortable win on Friday evening.
The Elephants attack consisted of out-going Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony and Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, while there were a number of big-name players on the bench.
It was the tried and tested that seemed to work for the 2015 Afcon winners as Bony opened the scoring five minutes before the break after being set up by Mamadou Bagayoko.
Bony then completed his brace for the hosts 15 minutes in to the second half before he was replaced in the 64th minute.
The Ivorians bagged their third goal in the 90th minute courtesy of Kassim Abdallah own goal, before Youssouf M'Changama pulled one back for the visitors in second-half stoppage time.
Ivory Coast will now turn their attention to next week's friendly against Uganda before they face Bafana in their Group D opener.
