Mohamed Salah and Riyad Mahrez have both been nominated for the CAF African Player of The year award, but former Arsenal star Samir Nasri has explained why he would rather play alongside the Manchester City star.
The two African stars have taken the Premier League by storm over the past few years along with Senegal international Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Nasri, who had spells with Arsenal and Man City, would prefer to play Mahrez, who he feels is more of a team player than the Reds' Egyptian forward.
"Why? Because he is Algerian and I also like his style of play.
"Mahrez is a collective player, while Salah is much more an individual player. He only aspires to score goals. I wouldn't say Salah is selfish, but he runs after goals and statistics.
"Mahrez, meanwhile, you can play one-two with him. He is a player with whom you can easily develop."
