Former Senegal and Fulham midfielder Papa Bouba Diop has passed away at the age of 42.
Diop made over 100 appearances in the Premier League during stints with Fulham, Portsmouth and West Ham United.
The midfielder was also part of the Senegal team that reached quarter-finals at the 2002 World Cup, where he also scored a famous winner against France in the opening game.
The former Fulham midfielder became the first-ever Senegalese footballer to score at a World Cup with that famous winner against Les Blues in South Korea.
Diop made a total of 63 appearances for Senegal while scoring 11 goals in the process.
