El Geish 0-0 Al Ahly
Al Ahly's Egyptian Premier League title hopes took a big knock after dropping points away to Talaa El Geish on Tuesday evening.
Pitso Mosimane was still without the services of top scorer Mohamed Sherif, who is currently recovering from a hamstring injury.
To make matters worse, Amr El-Sulya was suspended for the clash while Badr Benoun did not make the squad despite returning a negative Covid-19 result.
The Red Devils were unable to find a way past the El Geish defence on the night and now find themselves four points behind Zamalek after 31 matches.
Zamalek 1-0 Wadi Degla
Zamalek moved four points clear at the top of the standings with a slender 1-0 win over Wadi Degla at the 30 June Air Defence Stadium.
After a scoreless first half, the home side broke the deadlock just before the hour mark thanks to a strike from Marwan Hamdi, who got his first league goal of the campaign.
Patrice Carteron's charges now hold a four-point lead with four matches left on the campaign, but they will look to get maximum points at Ceramica Cleopatra this weekend.
